Quick Morning Make-up

Hello My Darlings. What you put on your face relies on your personal preferences and skin type. In my case, I am a normal to dry skin so most of my products avoids drying my skin too much. I have gone through quite a few stages when it comes to my makeup. From eyeliner and lips to the full on shenanigans in makeup.
My skin has been experiencing quite a few acne which I never experienced when I was younger. I tried covering my face with foundation and concealer but I decided to just let my screen breathe and put fewer products because two reasons: I have no time, and I want to look like myself. I apologize in advance for the quality of my pics. I only took this with my phone.

First things first, you start with a clean and moisturize face. Yes. You can see a few on my uneven skin tone.

I’ve been using this CC Cream to even out my skin and neck as a base. It has a high SPF so it goes out in an intimidating white formula but it merges into your skin tone and gives it more glow. That’s what they said XD

As I said earlier, I have dry skin and a few lines under my eyes. I lessen the appearance of it by using an eye cream then wait for it to seep. You can see the constellations that I am dotting on my face to map only the areas that needed concealing and blend away.

I set my make up with a face powder on my shade. Most days I just tint my eyebrows with brow mascara. It’s efficient, fast and natural.

Usually, I wear a lipstick close to my lip shade but on days I need a bit more oomph, I combine these two lip colors.

And, the look is done. I can do this make up in 5 minutes or less. I really do not mind it that much since I wear glasses most of the time.

Hope you guys like this. So without further Adieu, see you around and stay sweet

Catch Me As I Fall From the Sky

I'm back my Darlings! Life is so hectic for a graduating student *Insert gushing toward one's progress*. I had to post now because the next few weeks might drain my energy. Thesis defense is up this week so please wish me luck. Let me first say that I absolutely love my look here even though I looked like I gained a few pounds.

These pieces were only found when me and my mom were digging up bundles of used clothing. I wasn't really sure where did all the clothes come from but I am guessing it might be gifts or clothes that were only worn once.To be honest, I was very hesitant on trying on this skirt. Its not really my cup of tea as per say. I am only 5'1 or a few inches taller and I always try to avoid clothes that would make me appear shorter. Making me avoid folded pants, or maxi dresses and skirts. I prefer showing my knees and legs and wearing heels to elongate my legs. Thank goodness my mother pushed me into trying on new clothes. She always do that because "As a designer or a lover of fashion you must always try new pieces even if you didn't like it at first."

When I wore the skirt, I fell in love with the fabric and the feel of it as I move. The cloth playfully glided on my legs in sheer bliss. It made me feel so free and majestic as if I wasn't even human. The skirt was so appropriate for dancing that is why I pulled in my Jimmy Choos. My mother DIY-ed it by puncturing it and putting ribbons to add a delicate ballerina touch when a friend of ours wanted to borrow it for her wedding. Lastly, I worse this corset like top which was a perfect subdue of embroidery. My friend had to add a cute pastel flower crown to make this look more pretty thanks Ij.

In my head, I always portrayed that the outcomes of the shoot should look as fluid as possible. I didn't want my pictures to look like I was only posing for the camera. I wanted the audience to feel happiness and freedom of being in their own skin so I was actually dancing with no music. It was shame that I didn't think of any more graceful dance steps while the camera was shooting. The people were already crowding when we shoot this so my shame kicked in. But other than that, thank you Gian Pardo for these wonderful pictures. I wouldn't have have it any other way. You portrayed my ideas on these pictures perfectly and I am so glad you help us in these shoot. More power to you.

Here are some random selfies from Ij. From left to right, Me(obviously), magnificent Gian and the lovely Ij. I will be attending a debut the week after this and I will be designing my first dress ever. Wish me luck my Darlings. Other than that

Stay Sweet~

Come and Find Me

Hello my Darlings. I know that I am a few days delayed in a post but please, cut me some slack. A storm just visited the Philippines and until now, I do not have civilization. I am leeching off the electricity of my university and the WiFi of my friend, Renoir. Thanks Buddy!

Last Saturday, the Media Studies Department, held a masquerade-themed acquaintance party. You don't know how ecstatic I am to finally attend a masquerade. I am one of those women who takes pleasure in preparing themselves for an event. The problem was, I had a thesis class from 12 to 3 and there is no electricity for me to curl my hair.

I decided, along with my friends Valerie and Maryknoll to split and go to a hotel for us to prepare for the party. Just for you guys to know, we just slept in a cheap hotel which only costs $13.88(600 pesos) for 3 persons. We actually cheated just a bit because the room was supposed to be for 3 but later in the evening there were 4 of us that slept in the room. We also split the payment for 4 persons.

Enough of the technicalities and let em skip to the pictures.  This is what my make up looks. Please do not mind the fact that I almost look like Mama Odie. Just with the scarf around my head. I had to curl my hair.

These are all my make-up products after I put on my make-up and the others who needs help in primping. I also know that it is messy.

At quarter to 8, we went to Villa Caceres to attend the Acquaintance Party. As I have said earlier, there was a storm that passed and not everyone in Media Studies could come because certain areas doesn't have electricity. That's why it wasn't that much enjoyable. Also, the one thing that I hate is that it is a masquerade and we only wore the mask for a minute or less for the ramp. Wouldn't it be so fun if they just remained masked until 11 where everyone will introduce to each other everything but their identity?

Our dinner for tonight.

This was the mask that I wore for only a couple of minutes.I forgot to take it with my camera but luckily I posted it in my instagram. If you guys want to follow me it's @sharmpungmgadaliri. Get it? see what i just did with my name Sharm/Charm. It means 10 fingers. I know. its just plain random. I really do not have any artistic ability so I just outlined designs from a fabric.

They had a game called Musical Chairs to pump up the participation of the crowd. The twist is that, you won't be sitting on the chairs but on the laps on men which is both amusing and awkward. Amusing because some of these guys are gay and its hilarious to see them cringe in disgust and pain. Awkward because sitting-on-laps-on-men, nuff said.  You will see my embarrassment and amusement in these games though.

A blog wouldn't be complete without a solo vanity shot.

Let's not forget a group shot with my friends

Well, that is all my Darlings. I hope that all of you enjoyed my post about my Acquaintance Party. On Sunday, I will remain posting the other photo shoots that I haven't posted yet. Until then..

Mainely Vain: Have a Bite of Flirty Tart

Hello my Darlings. I will give you a fun throwback. This shoot was shot a couple of months ago for a summer themed blog with Sir Baloloy(a teacher in accountancy) and my trusty partner, Ij. Oh and feel free to stalk her blog http://irynjane.blogspot.com/

It was summer of that time when Ij wanted to have a summer themed shoot for the upcoming summer time so I agreed and one of my ideas was flirty tart. Weird name I know but hear me out. Flirty Tart is my idea of a good balance between seductive, fresh and colorful. Let’s be honest guys, a woman looks much sexier in solid dark colors but we can actually draw that out even in colorful pieces. Also to add, I am not a fan of showing too much skin in the summer even when people say that the heat is unbearable. I mean sorry but, that heat is nothing compared to where I grew up and that is in the Middle East. Honey, tires explode because the weather is too hot and I got through the summer even with long sleeves and jeans. Since, Philippines doesn't have regulations on what to wear. Sky’s the limit they say, more like the shorter the better. Going back to what I am saying, I got this idea from a book that says a woman should only show one skin at a time yet from time to time I show two but that is the maximum. It’s actually efficient that way because you simply highlighting your features. It is a big difference with lighting the whole thing. So when you wear shorts, cover the twins, back and if you can, the arms (at least above the elbows).

For starters, this is my make-up. It is just a warm bronze smoky eye with eyeliners and wispy false lashes on the end. Maybe a bit of bronzer to warm up the face or pink blush to match the hot pink lip. They do say that when you have a blush with the same color of your lip, you instantly look polished. Just do not make your cheeks have the same intensity of your lips because that can be brutal. As for the hair. I usually just bun my hair then let it roam. Lazy I know but it works for me.

This is dress perfect for the season because the fabric is light on the skin, the heat does not attract colorful pieces (dark colors does), and you can sweat whatever you want without it tracing on your clothes. Sneaky right. Plus it adds to my principle of showing one skin at a time. It has a slinky strap or my favorite, slutty straps, to show your décolletage, and arms. The back isn’t included because I am covering it will my wild mane. I wore my Yves Saint Laurent Shoes and a hat my ex bought me from Bacolod or somewhere in the Philippines with a floating market. Well that’s what he said. I don’t think I have any photos that focuses on my accessories but they’re just gold pieces and a feather necklace that blended well with my dress.

I guess that is all, I have. I do feel that I was slimmer before. I have mixed feelings now. I hope you Darlings like this, until then.. Ta-ta
