Outfit of the Day: Paisley be with you

Hello my Darlings. I am so sorry if I haven’t been following the so-called schedule that I have made. I promise to exert more effort and time to knock myself to have the energy to do what I have to do. One of the reasons why I could not post my Mainly Vain shoots and OOTD’s is that the internet where I have been staying is super slow. Second, the weather wasn't cooperating with my planned shoot. And last but not the least, I lack stuff. I planned on doing a vamp shoot and so on and so forth but I lack contacts and eyelashes and so many reasons. This time will be different. I will now buy a flash drive (FINALLY!) so that I will go to internet shops just for me to post. It will also be the end of the month so, I will be receiving my allowance so yay for us.

Lately, my creative juices haven’t been functioning properly due to the cold weather here in the Philippines (I swear I think I am part reptile). The other is that my wardrobe has been flipped to its possible uses. I think I have used every possible combination. Just so you know, I never buy my clothes like EVER. I only rely on my mom’s purchases and work my magic to make it suit me. That’s the reason why I dress differently that most fashion bloggers and frankly, I don’t plan to start buying even when I have the money.  Just think of it this way, when have limited sources you think of every possible ways to make it work instead of buying something else. That is just me.

Anyway, back to the outfit. In my opinion, a skirt and a button up shirt is one of your most versatile items. Never have a wardrobe without it. There are so many ways to wear it differently. This is one. I am wearing my dark blue sleeveless button up shirt and my black and white paisley skirt. Though both items do not hug your body, I just decided to knot it and it immediately cinches your waist.

For accessories, I just chose a chunky gold and cream bracelet. I never tend to load up on accessories because I fear that I might over dress. Its also a good thing to have unique accessories to spice up your outfits and for bag, I just wore my purple Jimmy Choo.

I do apologize again for the quality of the camera but no, I am not going to use my dslr. It just feels quite vain to use it but I will use it for my shoot. Definitely! I guess that will be all my Darlings. Take care

Outfit of the Day: Shake the Blue Out of Me

Hello my Darlings. As for you to know, today is Wednesday (at least here in the Philippines that is). This dress that I am wearing is actually quite hypnotic if you stare it at for too long up close. The problem with this dress is that is also looks semi-maternal. Women with an hourglass figure like mine doesn't fit well with these clothing that conceals our 'curves'. We look better if we flaunt it. You know what I mean ladies.

In the university where I am studying has standards I need to follow. One of them is no spaghetti straps or skinny straps so technically, this dress isn't allowed. The other one, the shortest your bottoms should reach is just above your knee though this rule is mostly void to some girls. Its unjust! To be honest, most of my clothes aren't allowed in their rules but you need to add a thing or two to wear them appropriately. I added a dark blue sleeveless button down to tone it down. The colors are actually quite bright. In the rule of balance in fashion, you need to find a dark piece of clothing to neutralize it.

To compliment my eccentric dress, I decided to wear my two-toned gravity defying edges. I know it doesn't look that impressive. It’s just fun to see myself balance at the wedge.

I wore my boho-like dangling earrings and my bag to delicately contrast with my look.

If you guys are very observant and notice the dim photo of the bag compared to the others then, I confess that I forgot.  That's all Darlings

Introduction

Hello my Darlings. My name is Sharmaine Agbuya but you can call me Charm. This will be my first post. I really don’t know what to say to be honest. I don’t have time to photograph myself (Lazy). I don’t have a new product to review (Cheapskate).  I certainly do not have time to visit to other places (No social life). So I just decided to just give you an overview on what to expect in my future post. Here look at this photo so you won’t be bored.

I once heard from a great blogger who visited my university, Daphne Benosa that a blogger should have a main field in blogging whether its clothes, make-up, food, books or places. Come to think of it, I have a really hard time deciding what topic because I love it. That is when I realized…

I enjoy anything under the sun.

What? Who said you can only enjoy one thing? I am always impressed most likely to by almost anything new coming to me. So this is me welcoming you to my crazy journal.

I will write here about my Outfit of the day. This happens on Wednesday because it is wash day in my university and the rest are uniform days. It sucks. I know.  But I might (Just might), post randomly in any other day. I will be posting Mainely Vain seldom when I am bored and I create themes using my clothes. Possibly it will appear on a Sunday.  I also might have a Get Ready with me if ever my life isn't as dead as it is J

I will be posting places I will be going too or events (if I was ever invited). I’ll give you tips too so you won’t do the same mistake as I did. Yikes! I will also post foods in my trips of course. How can I not?

And I guess that is just it. So I’ll post again soon.

Later my Darlings.
